Unimex celebrated the opening of their building located in Pharr, Texas; with this event, the company reaffirms itself and positions as a leader within the logistics sector as “all in one in logistics” company.
It was in 2007 Unimex began operations, as an added value to the Customs Agency business they already had “Laredo Freight Dispatch.”
Adalberto Campero, director of Freight Dispatch Service agency, said: “it was an added value because it was already a Mexican and American customs agency, in addition to a warehouse. Transportation is part of the supply chain and little by little we started to hire transportation and acquire a greater amount of trucks; that hobby turned into a business in both sides of the border. Since 2007 to date, we have grown both companies – Unimex and Freight Dispatch Service Agency – and today we have 300 trucks, in Mexico as in the United States.”
Meanwhile, Adolfo Campero Martinez, partner and legal director of the companies Freight Dispatch Service agency and Unimex underlined that this is a family investment to support the businesses to which they have been dedicated for 40 years, mainly in the border of the United States and Mexico.
“We specifically began in Laredo, TX and Nuevo Laredo, Tamps, but we have grown and expanded our operations in the Rio Grande Valley, mainly in Pharr, TX and Reynosa, Tamps. We are also present in Monterrey, N.L., Queretaro, and Qro. as well as in the maritime ports of Mexico by establishing links with Asia,” said Adolfo Campero.
He added, “We are the second generation managing this business and we are sure that we have achieved a stable and profitable growth. We are preparing the next generation to continue supporting the business and being able to provide a better service to our multinational customers, thanks to whom we have been able to accomplish opportunities and establish our presence in the market, mainly in Mexico, Long Beach and Canada.”
